Located on Hilton Head Island, the premier beach and golf destination resort area on the East Coast, in Beaufort County, South Carolina, the Law Office of Chester C. Williams, LLC was established as a sole practitioner law firm by Chester C. Williams in 2002 in order to provided focused legal representation and consulting to clients seeking particular services primarily in the Hilton Head Island and Beaufort County, South Carolina areas.

Our Practice

Drawing on over seventeen years of experience practicing law on Hilton Head Island, Chester C. Williams has developed a reputation as a leading authority on local zoning, land use and land planning, and their relationships to real estate development and re-development in the Town of Hilton Head Island.

Zoning ordinances and private restrictive covenants are both peculiarly local in nature, scope, and application.  Rarely will one find the same zoning ordinances in different municipalities or counties, or the same restrictive covenants in different planned developments.  An intimate knowledge of a local zoning ordinance and those who administer it can often be the key to the successful completion of a proposed development.
